Description
Jin Daima serves as a core member of the eccentric Kimengumi student group, recognized for their unconventional behavior and appearance. His family runs a food business, alternately identified as a cake shop or okonomiyaki establishment across sources. Academically, he mirrored his peers' struggles, passing the high school entrance exam on his second attempt—surpassing some group members who required three tries.

Physically portly, Jin exhibits an overwhelming obsession with food that defines his character. He consistently prioritizes eating and sleeping, often dozing in class due to laziness, and maintains a perpetually messy room reflecting his lethargic nature. While typically mellow, he unleashes a fierce, unpredictable temper when his food is threatened.

Among the Kimengumi, Jin displays two notable skills: extraordinary luck yielding favorable outcomes and adept mimicry, particularly of singer Yoshinori Monta. His closest bond within the group is with fellow member Kiyoshi Shusse.

Jin participates in the group's reality-warping, cartoonish antics—including voluntary shapeshifting and exaggerated physics for comedy—and frequently appears in super-deformed form. His nickname "Ebisu no Jin" nods to Ebisu, the Japanese prosperity god, aligning with his jovial, food-centric persona.

His character remains consistent across all media, from the original manga and anime to the 1986 film and sequel manga *Flash! Funny-face Club*. An episode centering on him, "Jin Daima's Hurrah for Tasty Little Things, the Library Is in Utter Confusion" (1986), reinforces his food-driven antics without altering his established traits.
