Description
Gekkō Kurenai, the 16-year-old male president of Miyasaka High School's student council, sports jet-black hair and a stand-up collar uniform. His calm, cold gaze emanates from green eyes. He declares himself a genius, maintaining a curt and offending demeanor that pushes others away. Despite his outward superiority complex and habit of labeling council members as slaves, he harbors deep loyalty, viewing them as comrades and friends he would protect with his life.

His past is marked by a traumatic event nine years ago involving his younger twin brother, Kurenai Hinata. Hinata, revealed as the more naturally gifted twin, sacrificed their parents to a demon after foreseeing apocalyptic visions Gekkō could not access. Before vanishing, Hinata vowed to return in nine years to consume Gekkō. This instilled in Gekkō a fierce drive for power, initially born of survival fear and later vengeance. This pursuit drove him to master traditional exorcism arts, spellcraft, and fencing.

Gekkō wields Spell Error, an ancient sword of divine origin resembling an edgeless fencing rapier with a bell guard. The blade appears black normally but shifts to blood-red when activating its sealing powers, capable of restraining targets or dispelling magic—though ineffective against Tenma and Tenshi entities. He also utilizes talismans and charms for combat support.

As the 12th student council president, he holds the contract as guardian of Miyasaka High's Holy Ground. This role grants him authority to manipulate dimensional gates connecting to other worlds. It stems from a prophecy naming him the "Left Head of the Crow," destined to kill the world-ending witch Ramiel Lilith and granted corresponding powers by the Tenma.

His contracted companion is Mirai Andou, an upper-class lightning demon descended from the Lightning Demon King Indra. Initially sent by Hinata to assassinate him, Gekkō overpowered her and formed a pact that seals most of her abilities. Releasing her golden-haired, lightning-wrapped form requires his explicit permission, often granted through a kiss. Gekkō exhibits possessiveness over Mirai, declaring her his property despite her affection for him.

Gekkō's relationship with protagonist Taito Kurogane evolves from mutual dislike into a vitriolic partnership; their constant bickering masks underlying trust and brotherly care. He also develops unspoken romantic feelings for Saitohimea, which he conceals. His dynamic with Hinata remains purely adversarial, viewing his brother as a rival to eliminate for murdering their parents and orchestrating assassination attempts.
