Description
Haruka Shigure is a 15-year-old student at Miyasaka High School, recognized by her shoulder-length brown hair tipped with purple and deep sky-blue eyes. She wears the typical school uniform: a lavender pink skirt, pink blouse, and yellow ribbon. Haruka shares a bond forged since childhood with her classmate, protagonist Taito Kurogane, and harbors long-standing romantic feelings for him. Her affection is evident through attentive actions like preparing his daily lunches, waking him during class when he falls asleep, and gently wiping food from his face. These behaviors fuel persistent rumors among classmates about a possible romance between them.

Initially presenting as sweet, caring, and openly affectionate towards Taito, Haruka experiences intense jealousy when Saitohimea arrives and interacts closely with him, creating insecurity about her own romantic chances. Classmates often encourage her potential relationship with Taito. She demonstrates unwavering loyalty through consistent emotional support, especially following Taito's career-ending karate injury years earlier, aiding his recovery and maintaining ongoing concern for his wellbeing. Haruka participates in the school's tennis club as her extracurricular activity.

A significant aspect of her character involves unexplained episodes of memory loss and personality shifts. During these times, her appearance alters—her hair darkens and her eyes turn golden-yellow—and she unconsciously travels to locations without later recollection. These episodes reveal a secondary personality known as "The Observer," programmed to covertly gather intelligence on Saitohimea and Taito Kurogane for unknown parties, potentially including military, church, or supernatural entities referred to as Tenma. This espionage identity operates without Taito or Saitohimea's awareness; its specific handlers and implantation methods remain undisclosed.

Later narrative developments disclose Haruka's profound metaphysical connection to Saitohimea, revealing that both characters collectively embody the split physical manifestations of a single entity named Ramiel Lilith. This duality positions Haruka as the human counterpart to Saitohimea's supernatural existence, fundamentally intertwining their destinies within the series' overarching mythology.
