Description
Ulysses is a support robot aiding the Ultra Force, originally designated Combot Model MF842. This technical name proved unwieldy for daily use, prompting Scott Masterson to assign him the simpler name "Ulysses," complementing his counterparts Samson and Andy. The initials of these chosen names—Ulysses, Samson, and Andy—deliberately form the acronym "USA".

Physically, Ulysses possesses a thin, angular build distinct from other robots, with his chassis primarily orange. Behaviorally, he exhibits an effeminate or nervous demeanor, contributing to a personality marked by anxiety and excessive talking. This contrasts with Samson's physical strength and Andy's diminutive size, forming a "Big, Thin, Short Trio" dynamic. His mannerisms and communication style are often compared to C-3PO from Star Wars.

Functionally, Ulysses operates from the Ultra Force's Mount Rushmore headquarters and their Mothership. His primary role involves delivering tactical analysis, mission updates, and operational support during encounters with the Sorkin Monsters. While not typically depicted in direct combat, he actively assists human pilots and their Ultra counterparts by monitoring situations, managing systems, and offering strategic input. He works alongside Samson and Andy, collectively handling base operations, piloting support craft, and aiding in crises like the confrontation with King Myra.

The character's creator is Walter Freeman, the enigmatic founder of the Ultra Force. Ulysses's construction specifics or origins prior to joining the team remain undefined. His operational history is confined entirely to events depicted in the 1987 animated film *Ultraman: The Adventure Begins*.
