Description
Kanade Minamino excels academically as a second-year at Private Aria Academy, though sports challenge her. Her elegant and nurturing nature contributes to her popularity. She dreams of becoming a pâtissière to inherit her family's Lucky Spoon cupcake shop. Her hobbies are baking and a distinct affection for cats, especially their paws. Her everyday attire is a cream long-sleeved shirt under a raspberry ruffled top, paired with a pink miniskirt, thigh-high white stockings, and dark raspberry flats; in summer, she wears a puff-sleeved white shirt with pink accents and a layered pink skirt.

A close childhood friendship with Hojo Hibiki, formed through shared music at an old church, fractured during their middle school entrance ceremony when they mistakenly waited under separate cherry trees, each feeling abandoned. Years later, revisiting the church, she encountered Ellen and the Trio the Minor attempting to steal her musical emblem. Her shared outrage with Hibiki when their precious record became a Negatone awakened their Cure Modules, transforming them into Pretty Cures. As Cure Rhythm, her dirty blonde hair becomes platinum blonde and lengthens into a knee-high curly ponytail secured by braids. She wears a frilly white mini-dress with pale pink accents, heart-shaped earrings, a rabbit-ear bow headband, and white boots with pink detailing. She introduces herself as "Playing the graceful tune, Cure Rhythm!" and wields the Fantastic Belltier powered by Fairy Tone Rery.

Initial battles as Cure Rhythm were strained by unresolved tensions with Cure Melody (Hibiki). They reconciled after helping children experiencing a similar friendship misunderstanding, renewing their trust and enabling their synchronized Passionato Harmony attack to purify their first Negatone. Their friendship faced further tests orchestrated by Siren, which they consistently overcame through communication and teamwork.

Her baking passion leads her to enter cooking contests. Conflicts with Hibiki arose when external pressures or magical interference caused deviations from her culinary style, but she always returned to her authentic approach. Once, her contest cake transformed into a Negatone, which she defeated alone before sharing the cake with Hibiki and her family.

She maintains a protective yet occasionally stern relationship with her younger brother, Souta, who sometimes pranks her. She harbors a pronounced crush on school musician Ouji Masamune, reacting with visible admiration to his actions and sometimes becoming competitive or flustered in scenarios involving him, like feeling annoyed when Ellen interacts with him excessively.

During Major Land's music crisis depicted in a film, a disruptive "howling" sound erased all music and petrified citizens. Traveling to the realm, she initially doubted Queen Aphrodite's alleged involvement. Key actions included helping Suzu (Ako's friend) uncover the truth behind the music theft, battling the Trio de Major, and being captured by the antagonist Howling. Rescued by Crescendo Cure Melody during the climax, she contributed to Howling's defeat using the enhanced Passionato Harmony Crescendo attack. Her Crescendo Cure Rhythm form features lighter, thinner curled hair, a feathery wing hair ribbon, a simplified two-layered skirt with gold feather accents, and large feathered wings.

Her development shows initial stubbornness and reluctance to admit fault evolving into greater emotional resilience. While maintaining her calm and motherly tendencies, she learned to balance assertiveness with flexibility in teamwork and interpersonal conflicts. Her core motivations remain protecting others' happiness through baking, defending Kanon Town, and preserving musical harmony.
