Fumiko Orikasa is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on December 27, 1974, in Tokyo's Asakusa district. She is affiliated with the talent agency Atomic Monkey. Orikasa began her entertainment career in stage acting, joining the Super Eccentric Theater剧团 in 1993 after being encouraged to audition during high school. She transitioned to voice acting in 1999, making her debut as Azusa Fuyutsuki in the anime series Great Teacher Onizuka.

Orikasa is widely recognized for her versatile vocal range, which allows her to portray a broad spectrum of characters, from energetic young girls and strong-willed women to more reserved and introspective roles. One of her most iconic and long-running roles is Rukia Kuchiki in the long-running series Bleach, a part she was awarded after impressing the original manga author, Tite Kubo, during the audition process. She has continued this role into the recent sequel, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Another significant and enduring role is Chun-Li in the Street Fighter video game franchise, a character she has voiced since Street Fighter IV.

Her filmography includes a vast number of major anime productions. She is the voice of Mikan in Atashin'chi, a role she was particularly happy to land as she was a fan of the original manga. In the Gundam franchise, she has voiced multiple characters, including Meyrin Hawke in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny and Yuriko Kuga in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE. She has also taken on the roles of Saori Kido, the goddess Athena, in later Saint Seiya installments and Lisa Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Her range extends to comedic roles like Kyubei Yagyuu in Gintama and more recent parts such as Eva and Effa in Ascendance of a Bookworm, Cecil Epps in Cop Craft, and Sophia Taylor in Appare-Ranman!. She also appears in the Higurashi: When They Cry franchise as Rumiko Chie. Orikasa has a recurring collaboration with voice actor Kenichi Suzumura, having co-starred with him in numerous series. She is also part of an informal friendship group called the Marshmallow-kai, formed with her co-stars from the series Strawberry Marshmallow.

Beyond acting, Orikasa has also pursued a singing career, releasing several singles and albums under the Geneon label starting in 2003. She is known for her interest in traditional Japanese culture, being a member of the Kimono Club and often wearing kimono in her private life. She has also earned certifications in sign language.
