Description
Foop is a wind spirit born from the Fountain of Sky within the Land of Fountains. She serves alongside the moon spirit Moop as a vital power source for Cure Bright and Cure Windy, first emerging in episode 24. When Dark Fall destroyed their fountain, Foop and Moop fled, searching for survivors. During their escape, Kiryuu Michiru and Kiryuu Kaoru saved them from a falling tree in a forest, forging a lasting connection—particularly between Foop and Kaoru.
Naturally timid, Foop and Moop cautiously observed Hyuuga Saki and Mishou Mai before finally taking residence with Saki. Their mischievous habit of wandering off sometimes led to trouble. Foop possesses a shy personality yet shares Moop's fascination with the Land of Greenery (Earth) and communicates by ending sentences with "-pupu".
Foop's primary ability involves channeling wind energy. Together with Moop, she empowers the Spiral Ring Set, enabling Cure Bloom and Cure Egret to perform the Spiral Heart Splash attack. Later, after Flappy and Choppy sustain injuries, Foop and Moop's healing energies upgrade the transformation devices. This grants Saki and Mai access to their Cure Bright and Cure Windy forms, with Foop specifically providing the fundamental wind power for Cure Windy's abilities. Foop channels this power through Choppy to facilitate Mai's transformation. During attacks like Spiral Star Splash, Foop and Moop verbally activate their powers ("Power of the Wind! Power of the Moon! Splash Turn!").
In the final confrontation against Dark Fall, Foop directly contributes her wind power alongside Moop, Flappy, and Choppy (supplying moon, earth, and sky). Their combined elemental energies enable the full team of Cures and the Kiryuu sisters to unleash the ultimate attack, Spiral Heart Splash Star, defeating Goyan. Following the restoration of both worlds, Foop returns to the Land of Fountains with the other spirits.
Physically, Foop resembles a light pink-white, legless, spirit-like entity. She has dark purple eyes, outward-curled ears featuring a lilac heart shape between them, a blue orb at her tail's tip, and a distinctive pink swirl on her forehead. Her name originates from the Japanese word "fuu" (風), meaning wind. Foop is consistently depicted alongside Moop, signifying their deep, inseparable bond. She is aware of Flappy's crush on Choppy.
