Lulun debuted in the anime's second season, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart. During this season, Hikari Kujou transforms into Shiny Luminous as the reincarnated essence of the Queen of the Garden of Light, becoming the third Pretty Cure. Lulun acts as Hikari's dedicated companion, mirroring Porun's support role for Cure Black and Cure White. She later appears alongside Hikari in the crossover film Precure All Stars DX2: Kibou no Hikari—Rainbow Jewel o Mamore!, attending the Fairy Park gathering where all Pretty Cure teams unite to defend the Rainbow Jewel.
