OVA
Description
Originating from a laboratory as an experimental super soldier with no memory prior to age ten, Chirico Cuvie was raised by adoptive parents on Sunsa. These parents studied his unusual regenerative abilities before perishing during an invasion. Chirico witnessed their deaths and survived severe, normally fatal burns, revealing his extraordinary resilience. Enlisting in the Melkian military at 16, he became an Armored Trooper pilot. His combat prowess earned him recruitment into the elite Red Shoulder Battalion. There, commanding officer Colonel Yoran Pailsen scrutinized his abilities, convinced Chirico possessed near-immortal "ultimate survivor" traits evidenced by rapid healing and improbable survival in lethal situations.

Physically, Chirico has short blue hair and an athletic build, typically wearing a military uniform with leather shoulder pads. His demeanor is consistently described as aloof, expressionless, and mechanically detached; observers noted the artificial Fyana initially displayed more overt humanity than he did. This emotional suppression stems from extensive combat trauma and conditioning as a child soldier. Despite this, he retains underlying compassion and ethical convictions, gradually forming attachments to companions over time.

His military career collapsed after a mission to retrieve a capsule containing Fyana resulted in betrayal by comrades and subsequent torture by Gilgamesh forces. Becoming a fugitive, he pursued truths behind the conspiracy involving Fyana—a "Perfect Soldier" like himself—while evading military and secret society pursuers. This journey took him across varied battlefields, from the urban decay of Uoodo City to the jungles of Kummen and the alien ruins of Quent. Throughout, he relied on tactical brilliance, adaptability in combat, and survival instincts, often piloting stolen or damaged Armored Troopers like the Scopedog, modifying them with additional weaponry when possible.

Chirico's background is intrinsically linked to the sentient supercomputer Wiseman, which identified him as a potential successor to oversee humanity. He rejected this destiny, feigning acceptance to assassinate Wiseman and dismantle its control over the Astragius Galaxy. This act, coupled with Fyana's eventual death in later conflicts, stripped him of personal purpose beyond survival. His regenerative abilities fueled theories of literal immortality, though conclusive proof remained elusive—scientists posited he might be an "Overman," an advanced human with reality-warping potential. Regardless, he endured catastrophic injuries, including space station impacts and fuel farm explosions, recovering within days or weeks.

Following Wiseman's destruction and Fyana's loss, Chirico entered cryogenic sleep to await a world without war, only to awaken into continued conflict. In the OVA "Big Battle," he allied with Autobots against emerging alien threats before vanishing due to a "Concept Change." Later narratives depicted him wandering as a solitary figure, perpetually embroiled in new battles while carrying the legacy of the Red Shoulders and the weight of outliving companions like the streetwise salvager Gotho and the spirited duo Vanilla and Cocona.
