Description
Chirico Cuvie was raised in a Sunsa research facility under Colonel Yoran Pailsen, groomed as a child soldier from a young age and demonstrating exceptional combat prowess by 13. He enlisted in the Melkian military at 16 before transferring to the elite Red Shoulder Battalion, known for its brutal, darwinistic training methods and high casualty rates. His combat experience included critical operations like the amphibious assault on the Taibas River during the Gilgamesh-Balarant conflict, where he was often the sole survivor of missions suffering heavy losses.

After the Red Shoulders disbanded and Pailsen was arrested, Chirico became a fugitive upon discovering a mysterious capsule containing a woman during a mission. This led to brutal interrogation by Gilgamesh forces and his escape, marking the start of his relentless pursuit of truth about the capsule and his own origins across the Astragius Galaxy.

Chirico exhibits traits of an "abnormal survivor" or "ultimate survivor," enduring lethal situations including catastrophic explosions, space station impacts, and severe injuries with rapid recovery. His combat style emphasizes overwhelming firepower and adaptability, often employing an "Alpha Strike" to eliminate threats decisively, though his mecha rarely survive engagements. Despite a stoic and emotionally detached demeanor from military conditioning and trauma, he gradually forms connections, particularly with Fyana, an artificial human who becomes his primary emotional anchor.

In "The Last Red Shoulder," Chirico reunites with former Red Shoulder comrades to pursue a personal vendetta against Pailsen, highlighting themes of betrayal and unresolved trauma from their service. This mission underscores his complex relationship with his past and struggle to reconcile his identity as a weapon with his emerging humanity.

Later, Chirico rejects his destined role as successor to Wiseman, a godlike supercomputer overseeing the galaxy, choosing instead to destroy it and free humanity. After Fyana's death, he enters voluntary cryosleep to await a world without war, awakening decades later to continue his solitary existence, occasionally reuniting with old allies like Gotho, reinforcing his enduring isolation and cyclical struggle against conflict.

Chirico possesses distinctive blue hair—a marker shared by others engineered as "Children of God"—and icy blue eyes, often complemented by his signature orange pilot suit. His journey reflects loss of love, purpose, and the burden of near-immortality, leaving him perpetually adrift in a war-torn universe.
