Description
Naru Senda is Hime Gotou's sharp-tongued best friend and fellow middle school student. Her observant nature fuels blunt, often sarcastic remarks and dry teasing directed at those around her, including Hime and her father. Beneath this cynical exterior lies deep care and unwavering loyalty towards Hime.

Living above her mother's bathhouse, Senda-yu, cultivates Naru's practical, down-to-earth perspective. She possesses significant artistic talent, particularly in manga drawing, which bonds her with the equally passionate Hime. Naru critiques Hime's work with harsh honesty meant to push her friend forward, her own technical skill in draftsmanship and anatomy recognized as superior early on. However, Naru grapples with creating original stories, frequently discarding manuscripts she finds derivative or uninspired, leading to frustration.

Her sharp observation extends to deducing Hime's father's secret career as a manga artist. She chooses to keep this knowledge private, respecting the family, though occasionally lets slip cryptic hints. Naru's creative path shifts as she collaborates with Hime. Together, they create a manga inspired by Hime's life and father-daughter relationship. This collaboration helps Naru overcome her storytelling block. She learns to channel her keen observations and personal experiences – her relationship with her mother and insights into Hime's family dynamics – into their work, significantly boosting her confidence and ability to craft original narratives.

Naru serves as the grounded, pragmatic counterpart to Hime's naive optimism, readily offering reality checks or advice. She consistently supports Hime, whether with manga, school, or personal issues. Naru evolves from a talented but frustrated artist struggling for originality into a confident creator who discovers her unique voice through collaboration and drawing on genuine emotional connections.
