Description
Meat Alexandria is a boy from the Churrasco tribe of Planet Kinniku. His father, Mince, entrusted him to Mayumi Kinniku of the Kinniku clan for the greater good of the planet, and he was subsequently sent to Earth to retrieve the long‑lost prince Suguru Kinniku, who would later be known as Kinnikuman. Meat wears glasses and has the hiragana characters for “niku” (which means meat) on his forehead. Despite being a member of the Churrasco tribe, he bears the Kinniku clan’s KIN mark on his chest.
Meat is highly intelligent and serves as Kinnikuman’s closest aide, acting as his eyes, advisor, and personal assistant. In the early days, he frequently quarrels with Kinnikuman over the latter’s cowardice and laziness, and they also compete for the affection of Mari Nikaidou. Despite these conflicts, Meat and Kinnikuman share a deep, brother‑like bond; Meat’s wisdom and encouragement are essential to Kinnikuman’s growth and success. He is fiercely loyal and always stands by his master, even before Kinnikuman becomes king.
Meat’s primary motivation is to support the justice choujin and ensure that the next generation of heroes is prepared to defend peace. After Kinnikuman ascends the throne, Meat chooses to be cryogenically frozen so that he can later serve Kinnikuman’s son, Mantaro Kinniku (also known as Mantaro Muscle). In the sequel series Kinnikuman Nisei, he awakens to become Mantaro’s trainer and guide, continuing his role as a strategist and moral anchor.
Key relationships include his bond with Kinnikuman, whom he calls “Ouji” (Prince). He refers to Mantaro as “Nisei” (Second) or “Junior” in some English adaptations. He also has two older sisters, the beautiful Medium Rare and the unattractive Kalbi Liver. After the reunion with Mari Nikaidou, many fans consider Meat and Mari to be a couple, though this is not explicitly confirmed.
Over the course of the story, Meat develops from a sometimes‑quarrelsome companion into a devoted and self‑sacrificing mentor. In the original series, his body is temporarily split into seven pieces by Buffaloman, and he is later reassembled after the defeat of the devil choujin. He also demonstrates unexpected fighting ability, defeating Mixer Emperor with a backdrop during the Scramble for the Throne arc.
Meat’s notable abilities include his sharp intellect and extensive knowledge of choujin techniques and tactics, which he uses to advise his masters. He can also press his temple to emit a bright light from the characters on his forehead. His glasses are a critical weakness: if they are broken, he becomes unable to function effectively. In the Ultimate Choujin Tag arc, he is sent to find the Alexandria Family Library to uncover information about Kevin Mask’s fading condition, and he later helps devise plans involving time travel.
Throughout both the original series and Kinnikuman Nisei, Meat Alexandria remains a steadfast, resourceful, and indispensable figure among the justice choujin, bridging generations with his unwavering dedication.
