Description
Terryman originates as a Justice Chojin from Texas, initially working as a mercenary who fights solely for payment and exhibits arrogance, particularly toward Kinnikuman. He dismisses those unable to afford his services, refusing to help a child whose father is held hostage. Witnessing Kinnikuman's selfless dedication to justice triggers a profound shift in his values, transforming him into a hero motivated by justice. He forges a lifelong friendship with Kinnikuman and becomes a core member of the Idol Chojin group.

He possesses a muscular build, often described as handsome. His design features white hair in the manga and blonde hair in the anime. His typical attire is red, including boots, knee bands, shorts, and gloves, adorned with star emblems on his shoulders symbolizing his fighting spirit. A defining trait is the kanji "米" (Bei) on his forehead. During the 20th Chojin Olympics, Kinkotsuman severely injures his left leg, requiring a prosthetic. This prosthetic evolves through several versions: an initial basic model, an advanced version created by Backlund, later replacements after battle damage including a weakened metallic leg, and a final improved version crafted by a guilt-driven Kinkotsuman using Backlund's blueprints.

His relationships drive his development. An unbreakable bond forms with Kinnikuman, evolving from antagonism to a deep, trusting partnership. They frequently team up as "The Machineguns," supporting each other through conflicts and career challenges. Terryman becomes romantically involved with Japanese reporter Natsuko Shono. Their relationship includes moments of possessiveness from Natsuko and Terryman occasionally prioritizing wrestling, such as incapacitating her to participate in a match. Despite complexities, they marry, reside on a Texas ranch, and raise their son, Terry the Kid. Their domestic life involves sleeping in separate beds and maintaining consistent attire.

As a father, Terryman adopts a strict approach with Terry the Kid, rigorously training him and orchestrating a near-fatal match against Volcano. This contributes to a strained dynamic, with Kid resenting comparisons and striving to surpass him. Flashbacks show Terryman disciplining Kid for disrespect toward friends, though later interactions reveal mutual affection and support as Kid matures.

Across story arcs, Terryman demonstrates unwavering loyalty and sacrifice. He accompanies Kinnikuman to Roots Island to combat kaiju threatening islanders. Approximately 1.5 years after Kinnikuman ascends to the throne of Planet Kinniku, during the Perfect Origin Arc, Terryman represents the Justice Chojin in signing a peace treaty with the Devil and Perfect Chojin factions. When the Perfect Large Numbers disrupt the treaty, he confronts their champion, Max Radial, in a tournament match. His participation extends to a later battle against Justiceman, where his prosthetic leg sustains critical damage. Throughout this arc, he coordinates with allies like Geronimo and reacts to factional betrayals, such as Buffaloman's defection to the Devil Chojin, highlighting his strategic awareness and commitment to the Justice Chojin cause.
