Description
Emily Frankenstein, daughter of Victor and Elizabeth Frankenstein, shares a profound connection with her blind grandfather, who once warned Victor against his experiments. This bond reveals her compassionate spirit and family loyalty.
When Frankenstein's monster survives a fall and enters her grandfather's cabin, Emily meets the creature. She and her grandfather see past his appearance, recognizing his longing for acceptance. They name him "Franken" and offer friendship. Emily teaches him concepts like God, forging an emotional bridge.
A woodland fire becomes pivotal: Franken tries but fails to save Elizabeth, who perishes. He rescues Emily's grandfather instead. Amidst the chaos, a man named Philip dies accidentally while attempting to shoot Franken. Misinterpreting events, Emily blames Franken for Philip's death. Distraught, she shoots Franken's hand, shattering their bond and leaving him alone.
Later, Emily's grandfather reveals Franken's innocence in Elizabeth's death. This truth drives Emily to seek Franken, apologize for her misunderstanding, and pursue reconciliation—marking her growth from judgment to remorse.
In the mountains, Emily intervenes as Inspector Bellbeau and police attack Franken. While shielding him, she hears Franken speak her name for the first time. Despite her protection, he leaps off a cliff, ending his torment. Victor Frankenstein subsequently dies by suicide. Emily survives, living with her grandfather. The red scarf she gifted Franken later drifts from his grave.
