OT2 is an artificial intelligence system that appears on the video screens inside the Astro Lab, headquarters of Team Astro. It serves as an operational support system by monitoring global events and dispatching the team on missions to handle natural phenomena and environmental disasters.

The system analyzes live footage and data from around the world to identify emerging crises that require the team’s intervention. During one mission, OT2 malfunctioned while Astro Boy and Astro Kitty were using their Mini-Robo Mode suits, leaving them trapped at microscopic size.

OT2 was directly targeted by the antagonist Dr. Phineas Fandango, who attempted to insert a “Big Boom” virus into the system. The virus was designed to spread from OT2 and destroy every computer system worldwide. Team Astro successfully thwarted the plan.
