Originally named Shiryu, Sirio il Dragone trained at China's Five Ancient Peaks of Lushan under Gold Saint Libra Dohko. His Dragon Bronze Cloth attained legendary durability after centuries submerged in Rozan’s mineral-rich waterfall, featuring a prominent left-arm shield and a back-mounted dragon manifestation that fades with his life force. During the Hades Chapter - Sanctuary arc, he defied Athena’s order barring Bronze Saints from combat, arriving at her Sanctuary blinded yet engaging resurrected Silver Saints with adaptive prowess. Reuniting with mentor Dohko, he confronted Phoenix Ikki, prioritizing his master’s protection over logic to demonstrate unwavering loyalty. He later joined fellow Bronze Saints to intercept the opposing forces’ Athena Exclamation technique. At Hades’ castle, Shiryu displayed profound grief witnessing Capricorn Shura’s death, revealing mutual respect transcending past conflicts. His tactical intellect surfaced in discussions with Hyoga about his blindness, where he calmly leveraged past experiences to strategize. In the Inferno chapter, he volunteered to remain behind, sacrificing himself to hold off Specters while allies advanced. There, he executed Rozan Hyaku Ryu Ha—observed only once from Dohko—defeating three Specters simultaneously, mastering the technique under duress. During the Elysion segment, he maintained composure against deities Thanatos and Hypnos but showed visible anguish when Hades gravely injured Pegasus Seiya. His techniques include Rozan Shoryuha (Rising Dragon Force), briefly exposing his heart; the kamikaze move Rozan Koryuha; and Excalibur—a cosmos-forged sword inherited from Shura that severs molecular bonds. Recurring blindness, first self-inflicted against Perseus Algol and later sustained against Marine General Chrysaor Krishna, defined his resilience, compensated by heightened cosmic awareness. Strategically the most intellectual Bronze Saint, Shiryu consistently prioritizes others’ safety—evidenced by blood sacrifices to repair Cloths and deliberate self-sacrifices in critical battles. His development reflects escalating wisdom and emotional control, epitomized by calm endurance through the Hades conflict’s physical and emotional trials.
