Description
Scorpio Milo guards the Sanctuary's eighth temple, bearing the Scorpio Gold Cloth. He attained the rank of Gold Saint at the remarkably young age of seven. Physically, Milo stands 185 cm tall, weighs 84 kg, has blood type B, and celebrates his birthday on November 8. His appearance features purple hair in anime adaptations, contrasting with blonde hair in the original manga.

Milo combines fierce pride in his Gold Saint status with a strong sense of honor, acting decisively to defend his fellow Saints. In combat, he offers opponents a chance to surrender before employing his signature Scarlet Needle technique. This attack targets the nervous system with fifteen strikes corresponding to Scorpio's stars, inflicting excruciating pain that risks insanity; the final strike, Antares, is typically lethal. Milo also uses the Restriction technique to immobilize foes. Despite his formidable nature, he possesses the humility to acknowledge defeat when warranted. During the Sanctuary arc, his battle against Cygnus Hyoga saw both warriors nearly kill each other simultaneously. Protected by his Gold Cloth, Milo survived while Hyoga's Aurora Thunder Attack froze critical points on the armor. Witnessing Hyoga's determination despite mortal injuries led Milo to concede, neutralize Antares' effects, and heal Hyoga's wounds. Later, as atonement for actions under the false Pope, Milo repaired Hyoga's damaged Cygnus Cloth using his own blood.

In the Hades arc, Milo subjected Gemini Kanon to the Scarlet Needle as a loyalty test to Athena. After fourteen strikes, he deliberately withheld the fatal Antares when Kanon demonstrated unwavering resolve, confirming Kanon's redemption in Milo's judgment. He later joined Aries Mu and Leo Aiolia confronting the specters of Gemini Saga, Aquarius Camus, and Capricorn Shura at the Virgo Temple. Their confrontation culminated in a catastrophic clash of Athena Exclamation techniques that destroyed the temple. During the assault on Hades' castle, Milo fought alongside Mu and Aiolia against Wyvern Rhadamanthys. Greatly weakened within Hades' domain, the three Gold Saints were defeated and cast into Cocytos. Revived by Athena's cosmos, Milo rejoined the battle at Elysium. There, he joined the remaining Gold Saints in a collective sacrifice, contributing his cosmos through the Libra nunchaku to destroy the Wailing Wall, allowing the Bronze Saints to reach Hades.

Spin-off materials provide additional context. "Episode G" depicts a younger, more impulsive and aggressive Milo, showing initial distrust of Leo Aiolia. His character matures through battles against Titans and mythological warriors, developing a strong combat partnership with Aquarius Camus. "Saintia Shō" shows Milo undertaking missions years before the main events, saving Equuleus Shō and combating the goddess Eris and her followers like the dryad Ate and the renegade Rigel. These missions highlight his investigative role and dedication to protecting the Sanctuary from divine threats. "Next Dimension" portrays Milo as a spiritual entity alongside other Gold Saints aiding Athena across time.
