Diego Sabre was an influential Italian voice actor, born in Milan on May 16, 1968, whose career was primarily based in the voice acting studios of Milan. He was active in the industry for several decades before his retirement in 2022, leaving behind a vast body of work, particularly in the world of anime and animated series.

Sabre's voice became familiar to generations of Italian viewers through his numerous roles in some of the most popular animated series. He was particularly renowned for voicing iconic protagonists and key characters. Among his most celebrated performances are Hanamichi Sakuragi in the basketball anime Slam Dunk, Yamcha in the Dragon Ball franchise, and Tobi in Naruto. He also lent his voice to Raphael in the various iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and to Sanson in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. His versatility allowed him to portray a wide range of characters, from the heroic protagonist Leorio in Hunter x Hunter to the menacing Zabuza Momochi, the first major antagonist in Naruto.

He voiced multiple characters in the Saint Seiya franchise, including Black del Lupo and Scorpio in The Hades Chapter sagas. In the One Piece universe, he was the first voice for several key characters, including Arlong, Portuguese D. Ace, and Shanks. He also took on the role of Noriaki Kakyoin in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and the protagonist Arslan in The Heroic Legend of Arslan. Furthermore, he voiced D'Artagnan in Anime Sanjushi and its sequel, as well as characters like Grasshop in Spider Riders, Dr. Prost in BeyWarriors: Cyborg, and Tora in My Hero Academia. Beyond anime, Diego Sabre's distinctive voice was widely recognized. From 2003 to 2012, he served as the official voice of the Boomerang television channel in Italy. He was also the official Italian voice of the crocodile Vector in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series from 2011 until his retirement, and he provided the voice for Gordon Ramsay in Italian broadcasts of the chef's shows. His work in video games was extensive, including roles in major franchises like Call of Duty, BioShock, and Resident Evil.
