Pisces Aphrodite, sometimes informally called "Fish" by fans, serves as one of Athena's Gold Saints, noted for his striking beauty and formidable combat prowess. He became a Gold Saint by age nine and was involved in events surrounding Athena's reincarnation 13 years before the main story. During Sagittarius Aiolos's escape with the infant Athena, Aphrodite confronted but failed to stop him, later witnessing the bridge destruction that seemingly ended Aiolos. Guardian of the twelfth temple during the Sanctuary arc, Aphrodite battled Andromeda Shun. He confessed to attacking Andromeda Island and killing Shun's master, Cepheus Daidalos. Utilizing his rose-based techniques—Royal Demon Rose, Piranha Rose, and Bloody Rose—he fought Shun. Though restrained by Shun's Nebula Stream and offered mercy, Aphrodite refused repentance. Shun ultimately defeated him with Nebula Storm, though Aphrodite's Bloody Rose left Shun near death. In *The Hades Chapter – Sanctuary*, Aphrodite was resurrected as a Specter under Hades, joining other deceased Gold Saints led by former Pope Aries Shion on a mission to assassinate Athena. Aphrodite and Cancer Deathmask were ordered to kill Aries Mu but were defeated and banished to Hades' castle, where Wyvern Rhadamanthys dismissed them back to the underworld. It was later revealed their actions were part of Shion's covert plan; they pretended betrayal to infiltrate Hades' ranks, willingly bearing the stigma of treachery. At the Wailing Wall's final confrontation, Aphrodite's spirit and the Pisces Gold Cloth helped open the gateway to Elysion, allowing the Saints to reach Hades. Afterwards, his spirit and Cosmo dissipated, leaving only the Cloth. In non-canonical appearances, Aphrodite was resurrected by the god Abel in *Legend of Crimson Youth*, battling Andromeda Shun and Phoenix Ikki. Ikki defeated him using his own Bloody Rose technique. In the spin-off *Soul of Gold*, set after his canonical death, Aphrodite investigated disturbances in Asgard. He uncovered the god Fafnir's scheme involving Odin Sapphires and transmitted crucial intelligence on bypassing Yggdrasil's barrier to aid allies. Aphrodite's personality blends beauty with ruthlessness. Taciturn, sadistic, and feared among Athena's Saints, he adheres to the belief that "power is justice," advocating for the strong to dominate the weak. Despite this, he demonstrated loyalty to Athena through his participation in Shion's high-risk Hades plan. His Bloody Rose technique—a white rose piercing the heart and draining blood—symbolizes his dichotomy: outwardly delicate yet lethally potent. His character design varies across media, often emphasizing feminine traits in spin-offs and anime adaptations, though core attributes remain consistent. In *Episode G: Assassin*, he operated under the alias Dora Tephi, serving as a bodyguard and combating Gladiators alongside Capricorn Shura.
