Senbei Norimaki, an eccentric and often lecherous genius inventor residing in Penguin Village, ranks among Earth's greatest scientific minds. He created the advanced android Arale Norimaki, presenting her to fellow villagers as either his younger sister or daughter, resulting in inconsistent backstories about their relationship. His award-winning inventions include the Reality Machine 2, which materializes imagined objects and earned him the World Invention Award by surpassing competitors like Bulma. Other notable creations are the See-Thru Glasses, Big-Small Gun, Time Slipper, and Cola Plane, though many malfunction or serve comedic purposes. Senbei harbors a persistent infatuation with Midori Yamabuki, Arale's teacher, eventually marrying her after a proposal during an awkward encounter. Their son, Turbo Norimaki, possesses telekinetic abilities and occasionally assists Senbei, such as secretly repairing Goku's Dragon Radar when Senbei struggles with its advanced technology. Senbei's early life involved the loss of his parents and a lasting aversion to dogs after one insulted his intelligence. A recurring trait allows him to transform into a taller, more handsome version of himself—dubbed his "serious face"—when confident or trying to impress, though this lasts only three minutes. Others acknowledge the change, including Goku expressing surprise. Senbei frequently uses the greeting "N'Cha," adopted by Arale. In Dragon Ball crossovers, Senbei assists Goku during the Red Ribbon Army Saga by providing tools to rebuild the Dragon Radar after General Blue damages it. Later, in Dragon Ball Super, he defeats his ghostly rival Dr. Mashirito—based on his real-life editor—by collaborating with Bulma and Beerus to neutralize Mashirito's control over Arale.
