Description
Peasuke Soramame maintains a short, youthful stature into adulthood, frequently sporting an animal-themed hat that draws style-related critiques from his older brother Taro. His timid yet pragmatic nature intertwines with insecurities over his childlike height and sensitivities to comparisons with Taro. As a classmate of Arale Norimaki and Akane Kimidori, he navigates school life while forging close friendships. A pivotal moment arises when Senbei Norimaki’s X-ray glasses expose contrasting health conditions between Peasuke and the smoking-afflicted Taro, spurring Taro’s short-lived vow to quit—a promise undermined when Peasuke discovers stashed cigarettes, reflecting their dynamic of strained responsibility and influence.

Peasuke joins Senbei and Arale on a prehistoric escapade, encountering an ancestor who swaps a dinosaur egg for Senbei’s lighter. This egg later hatches Gatchan, a key series entity. His hesitant romantic arc unfolds after rescuing Hiyoko from a beetle, igniting a bashful infatuation. Arale intervenes with a gadget to shrink Hiyoko to his size, bridging their connection.

Later narratives depict Peasuke marrying Hiyoko and raising their son, Poosuke. He crosses into crossover media, briefly appearing in *Dragon Ball Super* to chat with Arale during a casual stroll and featuring in a live-action commercial alongside Taro and Akane as they watch Arale’s antics. The 1997 remake shifts his hat to gray while preserving his core design.

A lesser-documented quirk—his autograph-collecting habit—mirrors creator Akira Toriyama’s real-world enthusiasm, anchoring Peasuke to the series’ thematic undercurrents of fandom and admiration.
