Tomiko Suzuki was a Japanese voice actress and narrator born on January 3, 1956, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. From her中学 years, she aspired to work in voice acting and moved to Tokyo to pursue this goal. She attended the night division of the Toei Audio Talent School while simultaneously studying at the University of Niigawa, from which she graduated. Suzuki made her debut in 1975 voicing the character Mokunen in the anime series Ikkyū-san. She was affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production at the time of her death.
Throughout her career, Suzuki was known for her ability to portray energetic and cheerful boy characters, as well as young girls. Her career spanned nearly three decades, during which she contributed voice work to numerous long-running and popular anime series. Among her most recognized roles are Rin in Fist of the North Star, Dende and Marron in the Dragon Ball Z series, Kisanta Yamamura in Nintama Rantarō, and Yayoi Aoba in the 1983 version of Captain Tsubasa. She also voiced Prince Yamato in the Bikkuriman series and its related films.
Suzuki's filmography includes a wide range of other characters, many of which were specified by the user. She voiced Kakeru Daichi in the Ganbare! Kickers franchise, including the television series and the specials Ganbare! Kickers Special: Hitoribocchi no Ace Striker and the film Ganbare! Kickers: Bokutachi no Densetsu. Her other notable roles include the title character Jirachi in the film Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker, Sol in Galactic Patrol Lensman, Daniel Witwicky in Transformers: The Headmasters, and Hansel in the World Fairy Tale Series. She also voiced Hot Ken in Magical Hat, Natsuko Enjouji in Kōsoku Denjin Albegas, Emily in Rainbow Across the Pacific, Peasuke Soramame in a Dr. Slump & Arale-chan special, Midori in Ultraman Kids, Yuki Kobayashi in Puttsun Make LOVE, and both Shinichi and Shinichi Kondo in Kuroi Ame ni Utarete. Her voice work often involved taking over roles from other actresses and, later, having her own roles succeeded by others after her passing.
