He frequently devises strategic solutions during dangerous situations involving Licca, identifying flaws in antagonists' plans and intervening to protect others. A key example is his exposure of Dr. Scarecrow's disguise during a kidnapping attempt, which directly aids Licca's rescue. Tomonori's character development centers on evolving from a solitary, science-focused student into someone who deeply values camaraderie.
