Description
Hayu Nukui is a 15-year-old high school freshman pursuing a music and idol career against her wealthy family's wishes, particularly her father's opposition. This conflict forced her to leave her Kanagawa home and live independently at Nezumi House under Rat Productions management. She joins the idol group Fruit Tart to prevent their dormitory's demolition.

Her appearance features light blonde hair, cyan eyes, a flat white hat with a black ribbon, multiple black hair clips, a patterned red jacket over a white button-up shirt, a navy blue and white frilled skirt, black pantyhose, and tan boots.

Personality-wise, Hayu displays a charismatic, tomboyish demeanor fitting her rock musician image. She is energetic and fun-loving but secretly embraces a feminine side—reading girls' comics and cherishing a childhood dream of becoming a blushing bride. This duality stems from family tensions: an overbearing mother and a father who disowned her ambitions. She fears losing her close friendship with fellow Fruit Tart member and classmate Ino Sakura, worrying Ino's rising popularity may create distance.

Within Fruit Tart, Hayu serves as composer, creating song arrangements with Ino. Despite her passion for rock and idol performance, her vocal abilities are limited, leading her to prioritize composition over singing.

Her strongest bond is with Ino, shown through blushing when hugged, timidly requesting to be Ino's first school friend, and embracing her to spark creativity. She also exhibits affectionate moments with other members, such as shyness when Nina Maehara compliments her scent and hugging Ino from behind during performances.

Her background involves ongoing family strife. After her father's rejection prompted her independence, her mother later mediates. The family sponsors Fruit Tart's show conditional on Hayu reconciling with her father, underscoring unresolved tensions.
