Description
Born Latio on the Green Planet within the Trinary Solar System to leader Cain and his wife, Mamoru Amami possessed an innate ability to purify out-of-control Zonder Metal. His father reverse-engineered this power to create the G-Stone energy source. Despite attempts to mass-produce G-Stones and Mamoru's genetic replicas on the Red Planet, the Z-Master defeated the Trinary System's forces. The mechanized remnants scattered, with Cain's final creation, the mechanical lion Galeon, tasked with transporting the infant Mamoru—the last survivor—to Earth aboard the Galeorea Comet.

Galeon landed near Earth's North Pole in 1997. Isamu and Ai Amami discovered and adopted the child, naming him "Mamoru," meaning "to protect." Galeon left a pendant containing Mamoru's sealed memories, which his adoptive parents stored without understanding its purpose. Mamoru grew up unaware of his extraterrestrial origins or latent abilities.

In 2005, at age eight, Mamoru sensed a Zonder threat on Garbage Island. Confronting EI-02, he unconsciously activated his purification ability: his hair glowed green, energy wings manifested, and he purified the Zonder Core. This event alerted the Earth defense organization Gutsy Geoid Guard (GGG), who recruited him as a special operative. Though holding no formal rank, his unique powers made him instrumental against Zonders.

When the 31 Machine Primevals invaded Earth, Mamoru initially couldn't purify their cores. Accessing Galeon's databanks via the pendant restored partial memories, enabling him to sense and purify Primevals. During the battle against the Primevals at Jupiter, a projection of Cain restored Mamoru's full infantile memories.

Following the Primevals' defeat, Mamoru departed Earth with Galeon to restore its original programming using a massive G-Crystal in the former Trinary System. Facing the activation of the 11 Planetary Masters of Sol, he used a regeneration machine to create replicants of himself and Galeon. He stole the machine's backbone circuit, the Pas-Q Machine, and fled toward Earth. Exhausted near Jupiter, he encountered Ikumi Kaidou and the J-Ark, urging them to deliver the Pas-Q Machine to GGG. Captured later by the Sol Masters, he rejoined GGG in the final battle as the counterpart to Pei La Cain, a Sol Master modeled after his father.

A decade later, Mamoru became a full member of the reformed Gutsy Global Guard (GGG Blue). He co-piloted the mechanoid GaoGaiGo with Ikumi Kaidou, his former rival turned partner. Despite being in his twenties, his appearance remained youthful, leading to frequent mistaken age assumptions. He married his childhood friend Hana Hatsuno, who served as GaoGaiGo's operator, and they had a child named Tsubasa. During this period, Mamoru and Ikumi harbored a dark secret: the King of Ruin mecha resembled Genesic GaoGaiGar, implying potential ramifications for the missing original GGG team. They withheld this knowledge to avoid panic until the threat was neutralized.

Mamoru's abilities included telekinesis (common among Green Planet natives), energy-based purification of Zonder and Primeval cores, and the capacity to "adjust" machines using GS-Ride technology, restoring functionality or preventing biological rejection in cybernetics (as demonstrated with Guy Shishioh). While emitting green energy, he could generate protective shields for himself and others, enabling survival in space and achieving atmospheric and interplanetary flight.
