Maiko Itō is a Japanese voice actress born on January 7, 1975, in Tokyo, Japan. She began her career in the entertainment industry after joining 21st Century FOX in 1995 and made her debut as a voice actor in 1997. Her first credited role was providing the voice for the character Yuki in a television animation series. In her early career, she was affiliated with the talent management firm Tritorio Office before transitioning to freelance work in June 2003.
Itō is most recognized for her long-standing association with the Brave series of anime. She voiced the pivotal role of Mamoru Amami, a young boy who merges with the robotic entity Latio, in the 1997 television series King of Braves GaoGaiGar. She reprised this role in subsequent installments of the franchise, including the original video animation series Brave King GaoGaiGar Final in 2000, and its television compilation, GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves Final Grand Glorious Gathering, in 2005.
