Description
Minky Momo hails from Fenarinarsa, the sky-borne land of dreams, or Marinasa, the undersea dream realm, depending on her incarnation. As a princess of these domains, she undertakes a mission to restore humanity's lost hopes and dreams, preventing her homeland's disappearance. On Earth, she manifests as the adopted daughter of a childless couple, accompanied by three animal companions—typically a dog, a monkey, and a bird—though their specific names and designs change across versions.
Her key ability allows transformation into an adult form, assuming professions precisely suited to resolve specific situations, such as a nurse, police officer, or pilot. Each successful intervention brings happiness to an individual and causes a jewel to appear in her homeland's crown. Collecting twelve jewels would reunite her realm with Earth. However, her missions often culminate tragically. In the first incarnation, she loses her magical powers and dies in a traffic accident, later reincarnating as the biological daughter of her adoptive parents. The second incarnation similarly sacrifices her magic and kingdom to remain permanently on Earth, fulfilling her human parents' dream of having a child.
