Goro lives at the Blue Sky orphanage with Takeshi and others, playing on the American football team Takeshi established there. When extraterrestrial forces invade and Takeshi's heritage is revealed, Goro joins Earth's defense. Recruited as a pilot alongside Miki and Matsuo, he operates support UFOs from an Apolon-linked underwater base to combat the Dazaan Army. Goro activates his transformation by shouting "U! F! O!", magically donning a uniform that retains his blue football jersey for team identification. He participates in numerous missions protecting Earth, operating alongside the combined robot Dai Apolon as part of the UFO Shonen Dan (UFO Boy Scouts or Fuerzas Interespaciales).
