Alexis Thi Dang is a headstrong and opinionated human who first becomes involved in the Autobot‑Decepticon war as an eleven‑year‑old. She is intellectually gifted, of Asian descent, and the daughter of Vietnamese boat people. Initially aspiring to become President of the United States to address environmental issues and world hunger, she later shifts her career toward science, becoming a physicist. During the conflict, she bonds with the Mini‑Con Sureshock and forms a close, protective relationship with the turncoat Decepticon Starscream, symbolized by a necklace made from a green rock he brought her from Mars. The necklace later cracks upon Starscream’s death while battling Unicron. A decade later, Alexis emerges as a young adult activist, traveling globally to protest corporate misuse of Earth’s resources. During a protest in Australia, she saves a teenager named Kicker from a Terrorcon attack by using a flare gun. Captured by Scorponok, she is rescued by her friends Rad and Carlos. She then transitions into a diplomatic role as a liaison between the Earth Federation and the united Cybertronian forces, delivering the Federation’s declaration of neutrality while maintaining personal trust in Optimus Prime. Tensions arise with Rad over her nomadic activism versus his settled career, but they reconcile after a Terrorcon attack in Los Angeles, where Rad believes she has died and emotionally embraces her upon finding her safe. After Starscream is partially revived and later fully restored, he regains his memories and seeks her out, but he rejects her attempts at comfort and later destroys a Cybertron City on Earth. Though her pendant shatters during this period, Alexis keeps its fragments for life. By 2030, she holds a position close to the Earth Federation President, appearing at the appointment of Earth’s ambassador to Cybertron and bidding farewell to the departing Autobots.
