Akira Tomisaka

Akira Tomisaka is a former Japanese voice actor born on November 2, 1978, in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. She was active in the anime and gaming industry from approximately 1998 until her retirement from the field in 2007. She made a brief return to voice acting in 2010 for a single role. During her career, she was affiliated with the talent management firm ARTSVISION.
Tomisaka's decision to retire from voice acting in October 2007 was motivated by her choice to return to her hometown of Okinawa. After her retirement, she made a one-time comeback in 2010, providing the voice for Lucy May in the original video animation (OVA) adaptation of the series Kure-nai.
Her career included a range of supporting and principal roles across various anime series and games. She is known for her role as Kate Ashley in the 2006 television series Red Garden and its subsequent OVA. In the same year, she voiced the character Kûya in the television anime and related drama CDs for the popular series Utawarerumono. Her other notable anime roles include Alexa Thi Dang in Transformers: Armada (titled Transformers: Micron Legend in Japan) and its sequel Transformers: Energon (Transformers: Superlink), Naoe Kikuchi in the travelogue series Tetsuko no Tabi, and Lucy May in the Kure-nai OVA.
In addition to anime, Tomisaka contributed to the gaming industry. Her notable game roles included Amururineuruka Kûya in the PlayStation 2 version of Utawarerumono: Chiriyuku Mono e no Komoriuta and Marietta in the role-playing game Rogue Galaxy. She was also selected as the official Japanese代言人 (image character) for the online role-playing game Trickster Online in 2007.
Throughout her time in the industry, Tomisaka participated in various radio programs as a guest, including appearances on shows related to Utawarerumono and Red Garden, and occasionally served as a guest host on the RG RADIO program.
