Tambourine serves as Mary Bell's magical companion originating from the Seelie Court in the Flower Magic World. This character consistently partners with Mary Bell on missions to assist humans in Sunny Bell port town, tackling challenges like revitalizing Yuuri and Ken's family flower shop and aiding community members.
Tambourine embarks on numerous adventures alongside Mary Bell, Yuuri, Ken, and Ribbon the dog. These include resolving conflicts such as the "500,000th Year Quarrel," confronting antagonists like the Crystal Floral Witch Christina in Mystery Country, and assisting other magical beings such as Paula from Star Land. During one incident, Tambourine faces kidnapping but is rescued through Mary Bell's intervention.
In the series' conclusion, Tambourine is present during the confrontation with the Holy Tree of the Flower Magic World, which threatens to remove all Earth's plants. Following the crisis's peaceful resolution, Tambourine remains with Mary Bell as she chooses to stay in the human world despite completing her original mission.
Tambourine also appears in the educational original video animations "Mary Bell's Traffic Safety" and "Mary Bell's Fire Prevention: What to Do When an Earthquake Occurs," contributing to safety awareness content.
Within the movie "Phoenix no Kagi," Tambourine joins Mary Bell, Yuuri, Ken, and Ribbon on a journey to Flower Land for Toto the Phoenix's birthday. The group confronts a crisis when Toto receives a corrupted key transforming him into a vicious Phoenix. Tambourine participates in the subsequent quest to locate the true "beautiful key" needed for Toto's rebirth as a benevolent Phoenix.
