Description
Vy "Scarface" Low claims the title of Kuruda's 57th Sevalle. He earned this rank at age sixteen by defeating the reigning King Iba Stol (Hawk Eye) in formal combat, establishing himself as the strongest warrior in Kuruda's 2,000-year history. This victory left the monarchy undisturbed, with Iba Stol retaining his kingship. Scarface bears his iconic facial scar from a duel with fellow Sevalle Kai Shink (Crimson), who sliced his cheek during a confrontation; Kai Shink later became an ally in the Soulfan wars.

Scarface operates as a mentor and orchestrator behind pivotal events for younger warriors. He engineers brutal trials for Gau Ban, Elle Ragu's adopted brother, convinced that Gau must face death to unlock his potential after observing Gau's happier life with Elle softened the rage-fueled strength he displayed as an orphan. Scarface's methods include abandoning Gau in lethal scenarios, arguing survival proves worthiness. He similarly oversees the development of Screb Lohengrin (White Lightning), King Iba Stol's apprentice and Gau's rival, deliberately fostering their competition.

During past conflicts, Scarface fought alongside Kuruda's elite warriors, including Diaz Ragu (Elle's brother), Kai Shink, and Kain Phalanx (G). His relationship with Kain Phalanx, the 58th Sevalle, ended tragically when Kain descended into madness and attempted to assassinate King Iba Stol. As Kain's closest friend, Scarface intervened, killing Kain in a single blow to protect the king – an act that would haunt him. Years later, Scarface confronts Kain's reanimated corpse after Kain allies with Soulfan invaders, though Gau ultimately defeats Kain in battle.

Scarface maintains significant political and personal ties beyond Kuruda. He is married to Faulstis, bearer of the Ordo Codex and daughter of a high-ranking Juliannes official, forging an alliance with the neighboring nation. His strategic acumen is evident during crises like the Soulfan invasion, where he coordinates defenses and mentors warriors while rarely engaging directly in combat, prioritizing others' growth over personal intervention.

In the manga continuity, Scarface is biologically related to Gau as the son of the antagonist Shere Kahn, though this familial link remains undisclosed to Gau. His legacy endures through Gau and Screb, who inherit his belief in strength forged through adversity.
