Description
Giusy Young is the Italian localization name for Akiko Hoshi. She is the older sister of protagonist Hyuuma Hoshi and daughter of Ittetsu Hoshi. Following her mother Harue's death, she steps into the maternal role within the household, providing emotional support to Hyuuma amidst their father's harsh training methods.
She acts as Hyuuma's protector, at times directly confronting Ittetsu over the severity of his training. This culminates in her leaving the family home after a major disagreement concerning Hyuuma's wellbeing. Later, within sequel material, she explicitly blames Ittetsu's historically demanding approach as a factor contributing to Hyuuma's career-threatening arm injury. During this confrontation, Mitsuru Hanagata intervenes to calm her, acknowledging the inherent risks of athletic injury while offering his assistance.
Her relationship with Hyuuma is defined by deep mutual affection, with Hyuuma expressing clear admiration for her. She maintains an awareness of how others perceive her actions and choices. Her narrative explores themes of familial obligation, the consequences of parental expectations, and the protective bonds between siblings.
