Dino Ptera serves as aerial reconnaissance for the Dino Knights, one of their few female members. She wields the Ptera Bristle Boomerang in combat. Her transformation into a Pteranodon, a prehistoric flying reptile, grants the aerial capabilities vital to her scouting role.

Originally active 65 million years ago, Dino Ptera defended Earth against the life-force-draining alien Dragozaurs. Following that ancient conflict, she fossilized alongside her comrades. Revived in the present day when the Dragozaurs returned, she reactivated to protect the planet once more.

Her fossilized state resembles a pterosaur skeleton. Upon reanimation, she assumes a metallic warrior form consistent with other Dino Knights. In this form, she frequently engages in aerial battles against the Dragozaur commander Drago Wing.

Her role consistently focuses on aerial support and reconnaissance throughout the documented narratives. Toy representations, designated DZ-5, include the Ptera Bristle Boomerang accessory and feature transformation from a pterosaur skeleton to a skeleton-armored warrior.
