Description
Melonpanna serves as a pivotal ally in the heroic team, distinguished by her melon-bread-shaped head and compassionate demeanor. Designed as a sister figure, she shares a layered bond with Rollpanna, her older sibling, whose creation involved Melonpanna infusing the dough with her melon juice—a gesture symbolizing her yearning for kinship. Despite frequent separations and her enduring solitude, this act cements their emotional connection, which becomes central when Rollpanna’s split allegiance, torn between good and evil by Baikinman’s influence, demands Melonpanna’s calming presence to realign her sister’s fractured heart.

Clad in a dark green uniform with light green trim, a green-and-orange cape, and a stylized cursive "m" emblem, Melonpanna employs non-confrontational abilities: the Melo-Melo Punch, which disarms adversaries by sparking affection or euphoria, and Melo-Melo Juice, restorative droplets from her head that purify corruption inflicted by foes like Baikinman. Though inherently pacifistic, she displays unwavering resolve during crises, such as quelling Rollpanna’s violent outbursts.

As the eldest sister of Creampanda and a junior companion to Anpanman, her story orbits her ties to Rollpanna. External narratives, including the 1995 film *Yūreisen o Yattsukero!!*, challenge their bond when external forces exploit Rollpanna’s darker impulses, compelling Melonpanna to intervene physically and emotionally to reclaim her sister’s goodness.

Thematic parallels link her to literary and manga figures like Gerda from *The Snow Queen* and Candy Candy, highlighting her nurturing yet vulnerable persona. While occasionally depicted in peril, her narrative weight stems from resolving conflicts through empathy, cementing her role as a bridge between discord and harmony within the team.
