Description
Hinaki Shinjō serves as a primary protagonist in the 2015 anime series and its third season. A pop-type idol from Starlight School, she forms the unit Luminas with Akari Ōzora and Sumire Hikami during a nationwide tour for the Starlight Queen Cup. She later establishes the duo Passionate✮Jalapeño with childhood friend Juri Kurebayashi after Dancing Diva's debut.

Her parents' careers at a fashion magazine sparked her early showbiz interest, leading to a child-idol debut where she frequently collaborated with Juri. A pivotal rainy-day live performance ended when she slipped, fell, and lost consciousness, prompting heightened staff protection. This incident caused her to suppress personal choices to avoid burdening others, prioritizing their comfort over self-expression.

Hinaki sports short, curly yellow-blonde hair in a feathered bob with a forehead braid clipped by an orange star, complemented by lime-green eyes. Standing 154 cm tall, she specializes in fashion through her primary brand Vivid Kiss, utilizing coords like Yellow Parade, Clara Carol, Bubbles Mermaid, Peter Adventure, and Street Art. Designer Kayoko once denied her a Premium Rare dress for lacking individual style, but three years later—after honing her unique fashion identity—Hinaki earned Kayoko's approval as her muse.

Energetic and informal, she easily connects with others. Her extensive childhood experience sometimes renders her advice generic, fueling insecurity. Interactions with Akari Ōzora—whose "freshness" inspires her—help Hinaki embrace individuality, declaring intentions to make "every day a blast with Hinaki Shinjō's own fashion," shifting from imitation to self-driven style.

In the film *Aikatsu! Music Award: Minna de Shō o Moraima SHOW!*, she participates in an all-star awards ceremony featuring series songs and stages. Her idol repertoire includes tracks like "Hello! Winter Love♪," "Poppin' Bubbles," "Summer☆Magic," and "Hello Hello." She uses casual speech contractions like "Otsuka" (for "Otsukare") and "Yoro" (for "Yoroshiku"), referring to herself as "Hina."

Initially mirroring veteran Ran Shibuki by offering fashion advice, her growth culminates in receiving her second Premium dress within six episodes—the second-fastest achievement. Distinctions include being the only main Gemini character and the first second-generation protagonist whose Premium debut wasn't solo.
