Description
Mikihisa Komaki holds the rank of Library Officer Second Class in the Kantō Library Base's elite Library Task Force, equal to his colleague Atsushi Dojo. He champions Iku Kasahara's transfer into the Task Force, recognizing her potential despite early training difficulties.

Komaki's past is deeply intertwined with the Library Defense Force's foundation. He survived the pivotal Hino Nightmare incident on February 7, 1999, where a pro-censorship group attack caused multiple deaths, leaving him orphaned. Kazuichi Inamine, commander of the Library Defense Force, and his family subsequently adopted and raised Komaki. Growing up in the Inamine household forged strong familial bonds, particularly with Marie, the daughter. Their mothers' long-standing friendship further cemented their close connection from childhood, despite their ten-year age difference.

His relationship with Marie evolved into a romantic one, initially met with internal skepticism from peers like Dojo, who viewed their bond as sibling-like and questioned the romance due to the age gap. However, their relationship progressed steadily, gaining recognition as an official couple within their circle. Komaki displays a generally cheerful and supportive nature, frequently seen smiling or laughing among colleagues and friends.

During critical missions, Komaki proves reliable and combat-proficient. He participated in protecting author Kurato Tōma from Media Betterment Committee censorship, working with Hikaru Tezuka to successfully apprehend members of the Future Library Committee attempting Tōma's abduction. His background as a Hino survivor and his upbringing within the Library Defense Force's leadership family underscore his lifelong commitment to the organization's fight against censorship.
