Description
Prince is a D-Rank Regular who appears in the second season of the Tower of God anime, first during the Return of the Prince portion and continuing into the Workshop Battle arc. He is the son of the president of Lurker Cash, a loan business operating on the 20th floor, and his climb through the Tower has been heavily shaped by his family's wealth. His father bribed test proctors and arranged for the conditions of his examinations to be fixed so that Prince could reach the 20th floor, and he also hired mercenaries to assist his son during the tests. Because of this, Prince arrives at the Tower's trials having been carried forward by money and influence rather than by his own effort, and he is known as a rash and spoiled young man who habitually uses his father's resources to get ahead. His identifying color is purple.
In terms of personality, Prince comes across as impulsive, entitled, and somewhat careless, traits that stem from a pampered upbringing in which he never had to struggle. He is not depicted as cruel or calculating; his flaws are mostly the result of having things handed to him, and he shows signs of wanting to be accepted and valued by others rather than simply tolerated. Later, Lurker orders the mercenary Rapdevil to kill Prince, but the attack fails when Kang Horyang rescues him in time. These events pull Prince away from the sheltered path his father built and push him deeper into the affairs of Wangnan's team.
