Description
Daniel "Dan" Kuso, the central protagonist throughout the Bakugan franchise including the Gundalian Invaders season, is 16 years old during this story arc. Following prior events, he relocates to Bayview due to his father's work transfer, residing near Julie Makimoto. He maintains top-ranked brawler status in Bakugan Interspace at the season's start.

His appearance includes a white-collared red jacket with sleeves rolled up his forearms, elliptical goggles, and dark trousers featuring red-outlined side pockets tucked into blue-and-black sneakers with gray tongues. Serving as a Neathian castle knight, he wears specialized high-collared combat armor trimmed in red and gold with blue markings, later reverting to his standard outfit.

Personality traits encompass inherent impulsiveness and occasional frustration, balanced by increased maturity compared to earlier seasons. This development surfaces when he calmly directs Jake Vallory to assist with post-battle reconstruction. While still valuing raw power in brawling, he increasingly incorporates strategy. He demonstrates strong loyalty to allies and Bakugan, particularly his partner Drago, though occasionally displays hypocritical behavior by criticizing actions he himself has committed.

Dan's Bakugan partner is Pyrus Helix Dragonoid (Drago), who evolves multiple times: first to Lumino Dragonoid after receiving "The Element" from Neo Ziperator, then to Blitz Dragonoid following Dragonoid Colossus' defeat, and finally to Titanium Dragonoid after overcoming Phantom Dharak and gaining powers from Code Eve. His arsenal expands with three Battle Gear variants—Silver Jetkor, Silver Explosix Gear, and Silver Axator Gear—alongside Mobile Assault Vehicles Pyrus Raytheus and Pyrus Jakalier. He temporarily partners with Ventus Hawktor via exchange with Shun Kazami and briefly utilizes Pyrus Dragonoid Colossus before its demise.

Within the narrative, he forms new alliances with Jake Vallory and Neathian princess Fabia Sheen while confronting Emperor Barodius' Gundalian threat. He participates in critical battles protecting Neathia from invasion, navigating revelations about the conflict's true instigators and temporary alliances with complex figures like Ren Krawler. His actions contribute significantly to preserving Neathia and altering interplanetary relations.
