Alita, a blind woman, shares her life with Kyle, a hunter, in a secluded town. Their quiet existence is disrupted by plans to leave so Kyle can embrace a wandering livelihood. In a tender moment, her curiosity about colors surfaces—specifically red, which Kyle illustrates through a kiss, linking the hue to the warmth of her emotions.

During a hunt alongside Kyle and their comrade Devidok, unsettling visions plague her, foreshadowing the Dark Dragon’s approach. When the creature strikes, crimson energy paralyzes her, spiriting her away in a glowing sphere to its back. Transformed by this bond, her body bears three emerald triangles beneath her eyes; her limbs merge with the dragon’s hide, her consciousness silenced.

Guiding the Dark Dragon toward the ominous Tower, she becomes a target for Imperial forces, who urge Kyle to halt their advance. At the Tower’s climax, Kyle tears her free from the creature’s grasp. Lifeless at first, she stirs only once the green sigils fade, awakening drained but lucid.

Post-battle, she stands with Kyle on a windswept beach, her sight miraculously restored. She identifies him by sight and sound, then gazes upward as the azure dragon Blau soars past—retaining no memory of her possession. The origins of her healed vision, like her enigmatic past, remain shrouded, her story existing solely within the OVA’s confines as a pivotal force in Kyle’s odyssey.
