TV-Series
Description
Leina Stol is a central character in the anime Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. She is a robotic inhabitant of the mechanical world of Cronos and the younger sister of Rom Stol, the main protagonist. Her father is Guardi Stol, the chief of the Cronos tribe and a master of the martial art known as Tenku Chushin Ken. Leina was trained in this same art from a young age and is capable of using it in combat when necessary.

Leina’s personality is defined by her strong loyalty and protective nature toward her brother Rom. She is very close to him and becomes noticeably jealous when other female characters show too much interest in Rom, a trait that adds a layer of sibling rivalry and comic relief to her character. Despite this, she is a courageous and capable fighter who stands alongside Rom and their allies in the struggle against the invading Gyandlar forces, who seek the mythical energy source called the Hyribead.

Her primary motivation throughout the series is to support her brother and defend their home world from the Gyandlar. She also carries a personal drive to prove herself as a warrior, having been taught the same techniques as Rom. As the story progresses, she takes an active role in battles, using both her martial arts skills and, in later episodes, piloting a mecha known as the Power Riser.

Leina’s key relationships include her bond with Rom, which is the emotional anchor of her character. She also interacts closely with other members of the Cronos resistance, such as Blue Jet, Rod Drill, and Triple Jim, who become her companions. Her father Guardi is killed early in the series, which deepens her resolve to fight.

In terms of development, Leina undergoes a significant transformation at the conclusion of the television series. After crossing a dimensional barrier with Rom, both of them are changed into human forms and separated with blurred memories. This transition is further explored in the OVA sequel Leina: Wolf Sword Legend, where she reincarnates as a human schoolgirl named Leina Haruka. She gradually regains her memories and reunites with her former allies, now also in human form, as she searches for her missing brother.

Leina’s notable abilities include her expertise in the Tenku Chushin Ken martial art, which grants her enhanced combat skills. In her robotic form, she possesses the physical attributes typical of Cronos’s mechanical inhabitants, such as strength and durability. She also demonstrates adaptability, as she is able to learn to pilot the Power Riser in the latter part of the series. Overall, Leina Stol is a dedicated and spirited fighter whose loyalty to her family and her world defines her role in the story.
