Description
Keiichi Akagi, a veteran cameraman with the photo agency "Horizont," holds a senior position relative to Saeko Shirasu and shares a professional friendship with her. Five years before the main events, he crossed paths with Shirasu when she was a student captivated by his photographic exhibition. This meeting prompted him to offer her the career-launching opportunity to document the Uddiyana civil war.

While covering the Uddiyana conflict, Akagi pursued independent journalistic investigations into local cultural and political developments, notably tracking a young girl rumored to be the reincarnation of the goddess Kuhura. His work sometimes intersected with Shirasu's assignments. Their paths converged significantly just before her departure from the warzone; she entrusted him with a container of confidential UN files, instructing him to release them only if she met an untimely end, demonstrating profound trust and foresight.

Following Shirasu's death in an airport terrorist attack, Akagi became the retrospective narrator and archival curator. He methodically reconstructed events surrounding the SDC mission by examining diverse sources: Shirasu's own footage, photographs, communications, and the classified files she provided. This meticulous review uncovered the existence and operational details of the HAVWC mecha units.

In the aftermath, Akagi grew skeptical of official accounts, developing theories implicating UN forces (UNF) in broader conspiracies, potentially including Shirasu's death. These suspicions were challenged by fellow journalist Lisa. His investigative drive and access to sensitive information positioned him as someone uncovering uncomfortable truths, aligning with implications that other journalists in the conflict met a similar fate for knowing too much.

Akagi's arc concludes as the compiler and preserver of Shirasu's legacy, ensuring her documentation of the SDC's operations and the symbolic Flag photograph transcended institutional suppression or obfuscation.
