Description
Jamie Robinson, originally Megumi Oka in the Japanese version, is the 16-year-old daughter of Commander Oscar Robinson and the 18th heir of the Kouga-ryū ninja tradition. Trained extensively by her father from childhood, she mastered extraordinary physical abilities, lightning reflexes, and combat skills by age 13. Her mother educated her in gentle arts and etiquette, blending Oriental and Occidental influences to forge her calm, alert, and reasoned disposition.

Serving as the pilot of the Volt Lander, the component forming Voltes V's feet, Jamie joined the Voltes Team due to her exceptional ninjutsu expertise and balanced personality, often acting as the voice of reason among the male members. She maintains professionalism during missions but enjoys modern social activities like parties and discos.

Jamie endured significant trauma during the Boazanian invasion. Her father, Oscar, resigned from the Earth Defense Force due to concealed terminal cancer to spare her worry. Shortly after, Boazanian General Oslak used a mind-control ring to force Jamie to attack Camp Big Falcon soldiers and attempt to kill her father. Oscar freed her from the control but was fatally shot by Oslak. Jamie later learned of her father's illness through a posthumous letter expressing his pride and love.

Within the Voltes Team, relationships were complex. Steve Armstrong secretly held romantic feelings but hesitated due to emotional baggage from his mother's death. Mark Gordon openly pursued her, leading to a brief relationship where Jamie admitted using it to provoke Steve's ex-girlfriend, Eva Sanchez. Eva resented Jamie and orchestrated multiple assassination attempts, including a near-fatal shooting that hospitalized Jamie and temporarily prevented her from piloting. This incident intensified tensions between Steve and Mark, culminating in a physical fight and Jamie's breakup with Mark.

Jamie's vulnerabilities include kabourophobia (fear of crabs), revealed during a mission against crab-like Beast Fighters. She struggled with guilt over her father's death and her mind-controlled actions, relying on emotional support from teammates like Steve and Bert Armstrong.

In combat, she employs Kouga-ryū ninja techniques like silk-steel cards and evasion tactics. Her piloting skills are adequate, relying more on reflexes and strategic thinking than technological expertise. After her injury, Eva Sanchez temporarily replaced her as Volt Lander pilot before Jamie resumed the role upon recovery.

Her character arc concludes without a romantic partnership in the original anime. The live-action "Voltes V: Legacy" explores unresolved feelings with Steve and her grief and growth following personal tragedies. Her birthdate is May 17 makes her zodiac sign Taurus. She and Mark Gordon are the Voltes Team's only completely human members.
