TV-Series
Description
Douglas Aldridge emerges as a primary antagonist, transitioning from the Imperial Army to the breakaway True Empire faction. His combat journey begins piloting the Stylaser in early clashes. By episode 12, under Brigadier General Shigaru's command, he replaces Giller to take control of the formidable Genospino. After the Genospino's destruction, Dr. Frank Land equips him with a customized Fang Tiger Kai in episode 20, charging him with retrieving Sally Land's pendant.

Aldridge showcases remarkable combat prowess, notably during the Republican assault on Casey Base. Piloting the Fangtiger, he single-handedly engages multiple Bazootle units, enduring punishing gravitational forces during intense high-speed maneuvers. His aggressive tactics and unwavering confidence in the True Empire define his fighting style, often dismissing foes with contemptuous remarks about their weakness.

His absolute loyalty to the True Empire's ideology, viewing it as the Imperial Army's true successor, drives his actions. This dedication fuels his ambitions to expand Imperial territory while defending Tramanto Base alongside figures like Brigadier General Jonathan Siegal. He continues piloting the Fang Tiger for the True Empire until episode 40, when he transitions to the Omega Rex as a final stand against combined Republic and Empire forces.

Aldridge's personality blends intense martial pride with scorn for perceived weakness. He frequently derides adversaries as "dullards," openly mocking defeated enemies like a captured Bazootle pilot after Casey Base. His bond with the Fangtiger transcends machinery; he anthropomorphizes the Zoid, interpreting its combat responses and considering it a trusted battle companion, leading to an emotional farewell when switching to the Omega Rex.

His arc concludes following the Omega Rex's defeat by Leo Conrad's Rising Liger. Unable to fire the mech's Charged Particle Cannon without Sally's pendant and overwhelmed by Buster Cannons, Aldridge is captured while defiantly proclaiming loyalty to the True Empire. His final appearance depicts him taken into custody without subsequent storyline returns.

Promotional materials from the Zoids Wild Biographies model kit line detail his customized Fangtiger's specifications: All-Weather High-Powered Boosters, A-Z Rocket Launchers, and a dark blue with metallic red color scheme. Accompanying short stories, such as "A Warrior's Qualities," provide context for his military operations and interactions with allies like Victor Spiegel, who observes Aldridge's combat effectiveness firsthand.
