Description
Peasuke Soramame, younger brother of Taro Soramame and classmate of Arale Norimaki and Akane Kimidori, exhibits a perpetually short stature that fuels deep insecurity even in adulthood. He habitually wears an animal hat with cat ears, drawing style critiques from his older brother. Timid and somewhat wimpish by nature, he nonetheless functions as the most reasonable voice in his friend circle while idolizing Taro and aspiring to emulate him. He maintains strong bonds with friends and family, regularly joining their escapades.

His manga debut occurs during Arale’s first school day when her display of strength integrates him into her social circle. Early highlights include being viewed nude through Senbei Norimaki’s See-Thru Glasses alongside Taro, contrasting his healthy physique with his brother’s smoke-damaged body. Using Senbei’s Future Camera reveals his height will remain unchanged over ten years, deepening his disappointment. He later time-travels to the prehistoric era via the Time Slipper with Senbei and Arale, encountering an ancestor and securing a dinosaur egg that hatches Gatchan. Romantically, he meets Hiyoko, who becomes his first love and eventual wife; they marry roughly a decade post-series, bearing a child named Poosuke Soramame.

In the non-canonical film *Dr. Slump: Hoyoyo! Space Adventure*, he accompanies Arale, Senbei, Gatchan, Akane, and Taro on an interstellar mission to rescue teacher Midori Yamabuki after Dr. Mashirito tricks her into a forced marriage on her home planet.

Crossover appearances in the *Dragon Ball* universe include a manga cameo during the Red Ribbon Army Saga as he leaves school for vacation, while the anime shows him planning homework at the Coffee Pot. He features alongside Taro and Akane during a tournament in *Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission* and appears in *Dragon Ball Super* episode 69 when Arale crashes into the Coffee Pot.

The 1997 anime remake retains his original design but alters his animal hat from white to gray. He also surfaces in live-action through a G.U. fashion commercial, positioned between Akane and Taro outside the Coffee Pot as they observe Arale modeling promoted clothing during a transformation.
