Description
Peasuke Soramame, also known as Piisuke, recurs throughout the Dr. Slump franchise. He is the younger brother of Taro Soramame and the son of Kurikinton Soramame and Mame Soramame, residing in Penguin Village. Peasuke remains persistently short, a constant source of insecurity even in adulthood. He always wears an animal-eared hat, drawing criticism from Taro for cramping his style. Timid, sensitive, and often wimpy, he serves as the most reasonable member among his friends. Peasuke deeply admires his older brother Taro and aspires to emulate him. He habitually collects autographs from individuals he finds interesting.
Peasuke first met Arale Norimaki on her initial day at Penguin Village Middle School in Midori Yamabuki’s class, quickly joining her friend circle including Akane Kimidori. He participated in everyday activities like school baseball games and classroom events. He joined Senbei Norimaki and Arale on time-travel adventures using the Time Slipper, visiting the prehistoric era where he encountered an ancestor and helped retrieve an egg that hatched into Gatchan. During the "Monsters’ Night" storyline, Peasuke began his first romantic relationship with Hiyoko. They married ten years after the main series ended, having a child named Poosuke Soramame. Peasuke's height remained a disappointment; using Senbei’s Future Camera confirmed he would still be short ten years later.
In *Dr. Slump: Hoyoyo! Space Adventure*, Peasuke accompanied Senbei and Arale on a space mission to rescue Midori Yamabuki from a trap set by Dr. Mashirito. Appearing in the shared-continuity *Dragon Ball* series, he was briefly depicted leaving Penguin Village High School for vacation in the manga during the Red Ribbon Army Saga, while the anime showed him at the Coffee Pot café discussing homework plans with Akane. Decades later in *Dragon Ball Super* (Age 779), he appeared at the Coffee Pot during Arale's surprise visit, retaining his younger design despite over 30 years passing. Series lore confirms he was among those killed during the Majin Buu conflict and Frieza’s destruction of Earth, events later reversed.
