Description
Christopher Giller serves as a first lieutenant in the Empire Forces, piloting a red Sniptera—a Pteranodon-type Zoid specialized for aerial sniping and bombing. His Zoid's flight capabilities and long-range weaponry establish him as a formidable adversary, particularly against ground-based units like the Beast Liger that lack equivalent ranged options. His piloting skills earn significant standing within the Empire military hierarchy.

After Collins' death, initial control of the powerful Genospino transfers to Aldridge under Shigaru's leadership instead of Giller. This outcome prompts him to embrace Collins' original ideals, leading to his defection to the Republic. His assistance proves crucial in enabling Republic forces to weaken and defeat the Genospino. Following treason charges against Aldridge and Shigaru, Giller is formally reinstated and redeemed within the Empire. He then assumes a protective role alongside Empress Fiona, supporting her diplomatic overtures to the Republic.

Giller initiates investigations into Frank Land's rogue faction during its Omega Rex construction, placing him at the center of an attempted coup that results in his temporary capture. He escapes imprisonment, maintaining loyalty to Fiona to oppose the emerging threat. When both Empire and Republic seek to reactivate the Genospino against the Omega Rex, Republic officials insist on a Republican pilot. Clive Dias is selected but feigns injury to allow Giller to pilot the Zoid. In episode 29, Giller confronts the Omega Rex directly in the Genospino.

The rise of Hannah Melville's "True Empire" faction, aiming to overthrow Fiona, thrusts Giller back into conflict. As Fiona's protector and Genospino pilot, he briefly allies with Leo Conrad in episode 31 to prevent the True Empire from seizing control. Their successful defense provides temporary stability, after which Giller continues serving the Empire and participates in Regeneration Cube recovery operations.

During the confrontation against Frank Land and Electora Gate's Zero Grizis, Giller pilots the Genospino alongside Dias in the Omega Rex. Their joint effort against the near-invincible opponent culminates in both being consumed by a black hole in episode 48. Freed in the next episode after the Republic capital ship's destruction, Giller participates in the final battle using the damaged Genospino. Though unable to defeat Zero Grizis directly, his actions create critical delays enabling Leo Conrad to deliver the decisive blow.
