Tendonman recurs throughout the Anpanman franchise, appearing in the movie "Soreike! Anpanman: Niji no Pyramid." He consistently forms the Donburi Trio with Katsudonman and Kamameshidon. His head is a white bowl filled with tendon, a Japanese dish of rice topped with tempura featuring two visible tempura shrimps. He dresses in a brown jumper, brown pants, a pink vest, a blue long-sleeved shirt underneath, a blue scarf, blue socks, and sandals. Cheerful, energetic, and optimistic, Tendonman frequently dances and sings his signature tune ♪Ten-ten, don-don, ten-don-don!♪. He rarely loses his temper, staying composed even amid conflicts within his trio. During disagreements causing temporary splits, he prefers quiet reflection over forcing his food on others. Kind and brave, he teases others about their fears of ghosts. His main antagonist, Baikinman, distresses him by stealing the tempura and rice from his head. His standard equipment includes chopsticks crafted by his mother, which he taps against his head during dances and occasionally uses as improvised weapons. Despite his adult status, his mother treats him with infantilization. Within the Donburi Trio, he acts as an unofficial leader, exhibiting traits aligning with the Ego or Id in a Freudian Trio structure. His name and performative singing and dancing incorporate a pun on "Chindon'ya," a Japanese street performer tradition, which influenced his trio members. The trio shares abilities like launching their bowl lids as projectiles and running at super-speed, with Kamameshidon as the fastest. Replacing the food in their bowls alters their personalities. They frequently argue over their respective dishes but maintain a vitriolic yet loyal friendship.
