Description
Tendonman forms one-third of the Donburiman Trio, distinguished by bowl-shaped heads housing Japanese rice dishes. His head specifically contains tendon—tempura seafood and vegetables over rice—and he sports a unique blue, pink, and brown outfit.

He acts as the trio’s unofficial leader, being the first introduced in the series. Tendonman exhibits a bratty, impulsive nature, often behaving immaturely despite adulthood and independent living, particularly in interactions with his mother, who still treats him as a child. His speech carries a distinctive archaic Edo-period lilt.

Possessing super-speed shared with his teammates, Tendonman wields chopsticks as unconventional weapons and uses his head’s lid as a throwing disc. Replacing the tendon in his bowl alters both his personality and abilities.

Within the trio’s dynamic, he occupies a space between Id and Ego in their Freudian structure. He frequently clashes with Katsudonman and Kamameshidon over dish superiority but maintains a fiercely loyal bond, supporting them when necessary. Beyond the trio, he exists within the wider Anpanman universe, engaging occasionally with other characters.
