Description
Tendonman, occasionally referred to as Mr. Tempura, serves as a vibrant member of the Donburi Trio alongside Katsudonman and Kamameshidon. His head takes the form of a white bowl brimming with tendon—steamed rice crowned with golden tempura—topped by a lid pierced by two crispy shrimp tempura pieces. Expressive round eyes, a petite pink nose, and rosy circular cheeks animate his face. He dresses in layered attire: a brown jumper over a pink vest and blue shirt, accented by a blue scarf and sandals paired with blue socks, crafting a whimsically eclectic look.

Renowned for his boisterous cheer and unshakable confidence, he frequently bursts into song, chanting “Ten-ten, don-don, ten-don-don!” while rhythmically tapping his bowl with handcrafted chopsticks gifted by his mother. These chopsticks double as makeshift tools in skirmishes. While clashes among the Donburi Trio often escalate, he maintains composure during disputes, countering his companions’ aggressive culinary promotions with thoughtful reflection.

Fiercely courageous, he confronts eerie scenarios with unflinching resolve, even jesting about ghosts to unsettle peers. Beneath his lively exterior lies genuine kindness, though repeated thefts of his tempura and rice by Baikinman provoke visible anguish, reducing him to tears.

His character draws inspiration from a pun on *chindon’ya*, traditional Japanese street performers, cementing his role as the trio’s primary entertainer through song and dance. This performative essence subtly influences other donburi-themed figures. Notably, he stands among few non-residents with a confirmed familial tie—his mother—whose crafted chopsticks underscore his unique identity.
